
How to install, launch and uninstall Katusha M335 Scanner driver for XSANE application.

NOTE: You need to be 'root' in order to install/uninstall Katusha M335 Scanner driver for XSANE application. 

Dependencies:
1. 'xsane' and 'sane-backends' packages for Scanners must be installed on the system to use Katusha M335 Scanner Driver.
	a. Make sure you have selected the 'sane-backends' for scanners during installation of the ubuntu.
	b. If 'xsane' package is not found in the ubuntu, download and install 'xsane' deb.


Installation and Uninstallation procedure:
==========================================
1. Make sure you have 'root' privileges for installation. 

2. To install the package "sane.katusha-m335-1.0-27" on ubuntu, run the script as shown below with admin 'root' permissions.

   Installation:
	./DEB_64_Install.sh

   Uninstallation:
	./DEB_64_Uninstall.sh

3. In order to use the installed driver, configuration of the IP is required. 
	Refer to the below "Configuration" section. 

4. To Scan type 'xsane' on your terminal or choose 'Application->Graphics->XSane Image scanning'


Configuration
=============
In order to configure the Network Scanning, modify the IP and the Model information in 'katusham335.conf' located in the path: /etc/sane.d/
The format is as shown :
ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx M335
	Here,
	xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - IP address of the scanner

	a. M335 Model support
	b. Mode – Color, Black/White and Gray scale
	c. Scan Source - Flatbed, ADF, ADF Duplex Scan
	d. Resolution - All
	e. Paper Size - All supported Sizes added under Standard Options Dialog
	f. Orientation - Added under Standard Options Dialog
	g. Halftone for Black/White scan - Added under Advanced Dialog
	h. Brightness - Katusha Brightness feature added under Advanced Dialog
	i. Contrast for Gray/Color Scan - Katusha Brightness feature added under Advanced Dialog
	j. Rotation - xsane feature
	k. Preview
	l. Error Handling
	m. Scan Cancel 


Note:

1. User can use the Katusha Brightness/Contrast and/or xsane Brightness/Contrast feature. If both are used then it may lead to double Brightness/Contrast. Hence these features can be used based on the user requirement.

2. For ADF Scan, Enter the number of Pages to be scanned on the XSANE UI and place the same number of pages on the ADF (device).

3. For ADF Duplex Scan, Enter the number of sides to be scanned on the XSANE UI. For example to Scan 1 page, enter 2 under the "No. of Pages to Scan".
